Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 13-09-2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how SelfCustody21 LLC ("SelfCustody21," "we," "us," or "our") handles information provided by visitors to our website and our clients. By using selfcustody21.com or any of our services, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Legal Entity
SelfCustody21 LLC is a limited liability company, licensed by Shams Free Zone, Government of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
3. Information We Collect
We adhere to a principle of data minimization, consistent with our Non-KYC philosophy:
- We do not request any government-issued identification, financial documents, or banking transaction history.
- When you complete our evaluation form, we collect only the technical information necessary to understand your self-custody needs (such as the type of wallet you use, your experience level, and the type of support required), along with your email address for correspondence.
- When you register for an Academy workshop, we collect your name and email address for communication purposes and to issue your certificate of participation and completion.
- When you use the Store quiz to select the service best suited to you, your email address and order number are transmitted to our payment gateway (BTCPay) solely to complete the booking and payment process.
- We do not request or retain any information regarding the amount of Bitcoin you hold or your wallet addresses.
4. How We Use Information
Information provided to us is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Contacting you to arrange a free initial evaluation meeting.
- Preparing the customized report and recommended plan for your situation.
- Managing the administrative and contractual relationship with you as a client.
- Complying with accounting and tax compliance requirements under UAE law.
5. No Sharing with Third Parties
We do not share any of your data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your identity, technical information, and any details relating to your Bitcoin holdings remain strictly confidential throughout, and after, our engagement.
We may use internal operational tools (such as customer relationship management systems) to organize communication and manage requests. These systems are subject to reasonable protective measures and do not constitute sharing your data with external parties for their own purposes.
Sole exception: If you choose to pay by bank card rather than Bitcoin, your payment data is processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, in accordance with its own privacy policy. See Section 7 below for details.
6. Cookies and Tracking Tools
Our website does not use any third-party visitor analytics or tracking tools (such as Google Analytics or similar services). The scripts used on our website are entirely local and serve only to operate the site's interface and interactivity; no browsing data is transmitted to any external party.
7. Payment
We offer two payment options:
- Bitcoin (on-chain or via the Lightning Network) — our recommended option, under which no personal or financial data is collected or processed at any stage.
- Bank cards, processed via Stripe, a third-party payment processor integrated within our BTCPay system. If you choose this option, your card data (name, email address, and card details) is processed directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy; we do not store or have access to your card details at any time.
We recommend using Bitcoin as the payment method most consistent with the privacy principles underpinning our services.
8. Data Retention
Evaluation form and correspondence data is retained for the duration of our active engagement with you, and for a reasonable period thereafter for administrative and tax compliance purposes under UAE law, after which it is deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time, unless doing so would conflict with an existing legal obligation requiring record retention.
9. Your Rights
You have the right, at any time, to:
- Inquire about the data we hold about you.
- Request correction of any inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to the exceptions described in Section 8.
To exercise any of these rights, you may contact us at contact@selfcustody21.com.
10. Information Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any information provided to us from unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Any update will be posted on this page along with the date it was last revised.
12. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
